I was wondering how hermits make there shells. Since they do haven them in the ocean, and im guessing they make them, Can the make them in an aquarium?

They may kill snails to get them---no kidding: those are all stolen shells. If you want to protect your snails and make happy hermits, ask your fish store for some empty shells. They may charge you a dollar or so. It's fun to watch them change shells.
