hippo tang color variations

hello
i have a small hippo tang and his color has changed over the last few weeks to a month
he used to be a solid blue with the usual marking.
now he is the sam color mostly but has a dark dark blue from the top of his back all the way to his nose. this color is darker then the reast and like i mentioned it just showed up


any thoughts?

ive seen ones similar to that and also ones with yellow bellies, id say its normal and probly came from a different region than normal

i have seen yellow bellies as well and i have seen regular ones.. i have never seen this color variation either..

i just turned off the lights for today and wil get some pics tomorrow
he is liek the adult variation not a yellow belly but he was a darker blue when i bougt him from the other ones ive seen
is it that adult hippos coloration lightens up s it matures?
but picture this untill i can get a pic lol
from the top where the black marking goes from the top of the back to the eye. it it surrounded by a darker blue then the rest of the body.. i cant even see it too much ne more i can only see the bottom of the black marking


he has not got his black spots on the nose yeat either hes only about 3-4 inches
