Hippo tang problems

I've got a hippo tang that's had parasites on and off for about a month now .It gets spots than they go away ,now she started to get lesions and spots but they also are going away. This morning I noticed that her eye was cloudy and swelled up .What is this and how can I treat it .I don't want to remove her for the tank in fear of stressing her out more.Saw some stuff in DR. foster &smith called probiotic marine formula says its safe for reefs and corals ,anybody use this. Please help!!!!!!

A so called reef-safe medication will not cure parasites in a reef tank. The quickest way to get fish parasites in a reef tank is to not quarantine all fish for 3+ weeks BEFORE they go into the display tank. This sounds like ich and it is often associated with secondary bacterial infections due to the wounds caused by the parasite. I am sure it is not what you want to hear, but you are probably not going to find an easy solution. Best to bite the bullet and remove ALL fish for treatment in another tank. Leave the display fishless for 6 to 8 weeks to starve the parasite. Treat ALL fish (not sharks) with hyposalinity for 30 days or more.
