Hitch Hiker Feather Dusters

Hello, I went back on all 9 pages and didn't come up with anything. I just bought a leather coral, and it has about 6-7 feathers on the frag. One is pretty decent in size. My question is do these fellas like light? I have a metal halide and actinics. The way the coral is setting, the two biggest ones are in the shade. If it is ok I would like to turn them where they will be in the light. A suggestion on supplemental feeding and how often would be nice too! Thanks, Eddie

the featherdusters like phyto. i dose my tank 3 times a week. as far is light, i don't believe it makes much difference. i could be wrong about the light though

Thanks, can anybody confirm the light theory. I have the leather under pretty direct light, about 3/4 up on a 24" tall tank.

Feather duster are not photosythentic so light doesn't matter to them. Having them in the shade is fine. Just feed your tank phyto so they have something to eat.

I have a few small feather dusters scattered around the tank, and from what I can tell are always out light on or light off. Doesn't seem to matter.
