Hitchhiker crab ID?

I just recently noticed a small, about 1/2 inch, white crab with black tipped pincers. The black on the pincers starts about half way down on the pincers, so it's only the last half/tips of the pincers that are black. It also seems to have 'hairy' legs. Does anyone have any idea as to what kind of crab this may be? Harmful? I think I read somewhere that hairy legged crabs are generally not good. I know a pic speaks a thousand words but I can't get a pic of him, he's only out at night and just for a few seconds at a time before he darts back into the rocks. Thanks.

I have that exact same crab and it has been tormenting me and my tank as well as eating fish. But mine is the size of a half dollar. It is from the mithrax crab family, I would get it out.

Thanks. Yah, I figured it would be best to get this booger out, but he is quite stealthy, to say the least. I only see him, momentarily, at night. I've tried to grab him a few times with tweezers but like I said, he's quick. Guess I'll have to think about making some sort of trap for him and get him before he gets any bigger.

I would definitly do that, I am still fighting with my crab. It almost seems as they get larger they get smarter and know that you are trying to catch them.
