Hitchhiker ID - anemone of some sort?

Ball anemone (pseudocorynactis). Ime reef safe, but some have reported stinging of corals. If you wanna remove them, treat as per aiptasia.

Thanks, they look quite cool so I'll leave them be for now. I have 4 pepp shrimps which reduced my aiptasia so maybe they will get a taste for these also

FWIW I can't remember the last time I saw a thread where a tank was being overrun by ball-tipped anemones. They tend to stick to shadows IME, which is fine by me.

Hello,
I am new to reefing, I just started up a 36 gallon reef in the beginning of October.
Everything is good so far. I only have live rock , sand and two chromis in there now.

I have a question about some live rock hitch hikers whom I have recently found in my tank.
This image below is one of them. I have been looking online, and I havent found anything quite like this little guy yet.
It has moved to a spot higher up on the live rock, and streches out and grts smaller. It doesnt seem to being doing any harm, all it does it wave around.
I was just curious if anyone has any ideas as to what it might be?

Also I think I have a glass anenome, it is about half the size of a small piece of corn, and it is translucent. It appears to have a base and little curved arms that come up.
It is so hard to see in the tank that I could not take a picture of it.
It does retract when I touch it. Can they be too small to worry about, or should i do my best to remove it now?

Also two more random question :
I was thinking of converting my aqua clear 50 to a refugium with some macroalgea, is myAC 50 too small to even be one?

When can I add a clean up crew, and what would be ideal when I am ready?
I like lawnmower blennies and sand sifting gobies, but from I have read I think my tank is too small?

Thanks :)

You really should start your own thread.

What you have pictured is a digitate hydroid.

With ball anemones, take a close look at your nooks and crannies at night. Chances are you have a few more in there.

Agreed, they spawn and spread readily in my tank, always finding new ones on the sandbed or in the crevices between the rocks and the sand. I had to rescue a trochus from one the other day
