Hitchhiker on T. crocea (Starfish)

Here are some pics. I'm trying to figure out what this is, and will keep the clam in QT until I'm sure if they are safe.

I haven't been able to find a picture of these on any webpage. If you know what they are, please let me know.

Definitely Asterina Starfish. Some are safe, some aren't. It's up to you if you want to keep them or not. But better safe than sorry. Just peel them off.

my tank is full of those guys, they haven't bothered anything yet. mine seem to be more white than that.

I have hundreds as well in my reef and never had a problem. I wouldnt loose any sleep over it. It's actualy kind of interesting to se them grow from tinhy things up dime size...
 
They are like rabbits they just divide to reproduce some will eat acropora! Most are just algae eaters! Tend to be a nucence!
 
if you want to get rid of them get a hold of some harliquin shrimp.. they ll take care of that problem...

I had those and bugged the snot out of my clams. I had hundreds of them, finally I had to pick out every single one. took me a few weeks, but I did it. I'd get rid of them.
