Ok, I am sitting here messing about with my overflow, and trying to figure out why my overflow is filled up and not at its usual level of 2/3 full? That make sense? Basically it use to suck water down and now its not, since the water level is the same on both

that's the most likely cause - look for kinks in your overflow to sump tubing and/or return line, sponges [if any] getting full, something stuck in the tube, etc.

Did it get air in the line and break the siphon?

get some smaller-diameter tubing and run it down the hose and see if you've got a clog.

You might also have a return pump that is oversized for the dimension of the drain hose. I maintain one that is kind of an iffy combo because it quietens the water downflow: I have about 4" of drop, used to be much higher.
