Alright who bought the whole colony?!

Last time I checked it was a "frags only" colony and was beautiful. I was gonna pick up a piece but Ben told me the whole thing was sold and he doesn't know when he's gonna get another one like that again. Anyone know where I can get a frag in the SoCal area?

I have the exact same monti. I was told it is a montipora vietnamensis. I did check out google and the vietnamensis that is shown is exactly the same so I guess it is what it is.

Ok Nerd . I can get you a frag for free. That thing grow like weed. I used to have a huge colony which grow from a small frag. When i swap tank i accidentally break them into many small pieces so i ended up giving it away. But i still have a few small pieces remain in my tank. You can pick it up this weekend.

It could also be a confusa. The two are very similar to each other.

Not sure if it's related to you, but vietnamensis is collected in Asia so could be off the waters of Vietnam...

I don't have a large piece for ya but that thing grow really fast. The one in the pic i gave it to Loc01 couple weeks ago. I should be able to give you 1" or little larger frag. Cool?

Mine has grown from about 4"-5" diameter to 6"-8" diameter in about 3-4 months.
