Hoeven's wrasse and Radiant wrasse together?

Just wondering if you wrasse experts think I'll be ok with a Hoeven's wrasse and Radiant wrasse together in a 500 gallon 8'x4' tank with tons of corals and rock, and a sand bed. Also, if sexing matters I have NO clue if the Hoeven's I have is a male/female or if the Radiant I would like to get is male/female. My lights are out right now to be able to see if my Hoeven's has the spot on it's tail.

Also, Do any of you have any experiences with either of these wrasses eating shrimps/crabs/snails that you didn't want it eating?

The fish I have now is: Halichoeres melanurus and the one I would like to get is: Halichoeres iridis. ALSO, in the future I'd like to keep Flasher and Carpenter wrasses in this 500 gallon tank, along with a few tangs and anthias.

Any issues that anyone sees here?

they are both pretty good community fish ,i would think that there would be no issues especially in a 500 gal tank .

Good deal. I know the tank is large, but if a fish doesn't like another fish, it's going to hunt him relentlessly no matter how large the tank is. lol What do you guys think about also adding a False-eyed Wrasse - Halichoeres biocellatus in there as well...in addition to the flashers and carpenters later on?

I ask because the only wrasse experience I have is with a 6 line. Oh and a cleaner way back in the day.

yes leave the six line out of the deal for sure and i have had better results with my wrasses when my tanks are over crowded as they can never really get a terratory that they think they must defend . just my experience though ~

i have a radiant and a hoevens in my 300 and they have never had a problem with each other. they have been in there for more than a year and the hoevens is quite large. there is also a trio of H. ornatisimus in the tank.

I have a H. melanurus and H. iridis in a 90G together and have never seen any aggression between them. In fact, I'm not sure I've seen any interaction, period.

I just got an Hoeven's Wrasse and he is in QT right now before I move him to the DT and if there is any chance that he would kill any of my inverts I would really like to know before putting him in there and not be able to get him out due to all the LR in there...

I have a Vrolicks, and a H. iridis together in a 120. Plus a ton of other wrasses spanning many genera. You can get away with a lot more concerning wrasses than people think. In a 500g they probably won't even see each other. By the way, both species are awesome. It' pretty fun to watch them bury themselves for the night. Halichoeres wrasses like to burrow in sand at night to sleep, so the sand bed needs to be pretty deep (My vrolicks is near 6" long now)

When mine woke up this morning he had some sand on his face. Thought it was ich left the room to get the food and it was gone.
