Hole in my maxi mini

I just noticed a large hole at his mouth. Someone tell me he is splitting please. I have had him for about 5 months and he always looks good...just now a large hole. He's about 5" in diameter when fully inflated..not so mini.

Interesting. I hadn't heard of that species splitting, but it appears to be. Keep photo documentation of it as it proceeds.

I think it's splitting. I can see two white "mouths" and one is on each side of that hole

If you can see the rock it's attached to through the mouth, then I would assume it's splitting. I can't tell much from the pic, but more pics would be appreciated.

I will post pictures later...but today there was some smegma over the hole...I used a turkey baster and got it out..it was just jelly like and sand/detritus/poop in it....then seconds later..the whole closed up. Plus..I posted this in my local forum and a guy who purchased this from the same LFS said that his maxi mini's hole gets big once and a while and just closes back up...too bad..I'd still like it to split.

There are videos of propagating this mini maxi. Just take it out and cut it down the middle. You want to make sure that you have the mouth on both pieces. Check out the videos before you do it**

i took scissors to mine just cut a slit in him an within 2 weeks he split himself very durable nems
