The marine society will be holding a great raffle during this party, lots of great stuff....equipment, corals and fish. And I am willing to be Santa if Ray will be an elf complete with the tights, hat and pointy shoes

If I can add my $.02 (which I'm going to do anyway)!! This is a great opportunity for all members and people just checking the OMS out to get acquainted, talk "shop" and get an opportunity to check out one of the local stores that supports the society. I hope everyone makes an effort to attend even if it's for a short time to show support. You are fortunate to have a great group of people leading the group and a store that is trying to help get the club to the next level. I hope you all make an effort to attend!

Well the party Saturday eve should be a great time and we have an awesome list of goodies available for our raffle.

Also bring along a 5x7 picture of your tank to be entered in the Petland tank of the month contest for November, and yes I know its December already but they did not have an entry for November so they agreed to do one special for our party and the winner will be announced at the party as well. The winner gets a $25 Petland Gift Card. Robert has also agreed to give everyone that attends a 20% discount coupon as well. Please see an OMS officer to get your coupon. Oh, and the 2006 tank of the month winners will be entered in to a drawing to win a 90 gallon reef tank as well. Just a heads up, they have only been doing this for about 6 months so if you win you have a 1 in 6 chance to win a nice tank valued at $800. If you do not win at the party you can enter again at Petland for the December contest. They will draw in January for the grand prize and you must be present to win.
In putting this party together our local stores have really stepped forward by donating items for our raffles, please find time to attend saturday night as it should be a great time. It should be a full house.
I would also like to let everyone know that Paradise Cove will be open for your business during the entire party so if you see something you want, take it home with you on the way out. I would also like to thank Jeff at PCP for volunteering his store to us and supplying food and atmosphere.
I sure hope to see all of you Saturday

Thanks to all for attending the holiday party. Almost all the stores in town donated something/s to the drawing and alot of people won great prizes.
This raffle was a huge success and we managed a pretty good take for club profits. Donation, raffles, membership and t-shirt sales, as you know is the only way the club raises money and so thank you all for buying as many tickets as possible!
We'd like to thank again Jeff at Paradise for hosting this event and everyone else who helped out.
As you know, we were holding renewals for '07 membership(and new member signup). If you did not get renewed, we will be sending out information to renew for all who could not attend. As always however, you can always contact myself or one of the other officers in the club about renewal or joining.
It looks very promising for the events this coming year as we have several tank tours in the works, more how to workshops and as always our twice a year parties. We are thinking about holding raffles several times a year, if not at all events.
