Holiday

I have a query about what to do when I'm on holiday regarding feeding the fish. At the moment I feed them twice a day, once with quality pellets and again with either frozen mysis or brine shrimp. Is there a delivery system I can use for them? The one I have seen says mainly for flake food. Advice needed thanks.

Holiday

Fish would be fine without food for a week or so (longer if there are stuff in the tank that they can graze on or hunt). I think there are some feeders that can get pellets but yeah, no frozen.

I always consider evaporation of water and resulting increase in salinity as bigger problem. I have an ato but I am also paranoid about it not working properly :).

They're not going to die of flake food, any more than you would perish of bologna sandwiches for a couple of weeks. Not as nice, but not starvation either.

Thanks for the reply. See where you are coming from. Always better to ask in my opinion.

yes when i go away i dont let people feed my fish, unless my friends with a tank are able to do it. an inexperienced person can overfeed your tank and kill them faster then starvation will.

Flake/pellet is fine and all you need. Get a decent feeder and off to vacation you go...frozen food is a waste of money imo. ..
