That sucks!!!
keep us updated on what he says, suddenly I don't feel so good about my purchase (even though mine doesn't have the eurobracing). Oh well, I guess if it never gets water in it it won't crack huh?

How thick is your acrylic?

I understand wanting to look at your stand to make sure it is OK, however, a 96x36x30 tank with only 3/4" acrylic and eurobracing seems kind of thin to me. If memory serves, Griss' 72x48x30" tank with eurobracing was 1 1/4" sides and 1 1/2" on the eurobracing. I believe that was what the builder recommended.

72x30x30- 3/4" top and sides, for some reason the bottom is only 1/2" and the overflow is on a 30" side which is also only 1/2".
I already went back and forth with MS and Dave on the phone (back when I got the tank) and he said the thickness was fine.

you asking me or darksilenttype???

I pretty much copied my stand from the early pics that John posted when he first got his tank. Capo's seen it and he thought it was built well enough.

-Fade, sorry for the minor thread hijack.

No problem it seems that alot of tanks built around that time are breaking. So I wonder if it is a acrilic problem? Colored acrilic is stronger then clear my back is also 1/2 inch or so I have heard.

I got mine 1-22-06 I know of a few others around then that cracked.

Your scaring me john:worried:

John I will test my water and send you everything, but I have quite a bit of space available and you are welcome to it man. As long as you need it.

Just let me know about whatever frags you need room for. Plenty of flow and lights are new. Reactor running, etc. You need not frag everything up.

We can all help you out as you have helped us so much.

I mentioned it Sat morning but with all that's going on you may have forgot. I have 110 gallons of sump for storing rock etc. It does have a 400w Iwasaki over it but not a lot of flow.

If I had a dollar for everytime Markk said he was getting out of the hobby I could have had my tanks up and running two years ago:lol:

Yeah if I would have all the equipment you have bought and sold and change your mind on, I could have setup 5 tanks in the time you have had 4 years to get yours up and running.

I just got of the phone with Gary and they are going to replace the tank at no cost. There is a 10 year warrenty on there tanks which should make us all sleep alittle better.

Nothing like a company with good costermer service. That also stands behind there product.
