home humidifiers

I would replace the valve, I know a guy in rochester that does hvac if you want I could have him take a look. although it shouldnt be difficult to replace. I cant remember how these saddle valves are set up but thier may or may not be a packing screw on it, if there is crank it down a smidge and see if that does the trick. things that used to run great kinda take a dump when houses sit with everything off while they are trying to sell it. dont know if that is the case but i see it alot especially with hot water tanks and circ. pumps.

Some homes have plastic as a vapor barrier in which case you may need a dehumidifier. So I would recommend you take it as it comes and adjust accordingly.

there should be a humidistat somewhere controlling the humidity, if there isnt and it is just some sort of control knob I would look into getting one. I have no idea how much those cost. I would guess alot.
