Home made Fish Food

Well yesterday I made my fish food again because a few of my friends asked me to make it and one of them said I should make a post on it so here it is. I got a few items from the fish market and soaked and cleaned all the fish in RO/DI water a few times until the water wasn't cloudy anymore(didn't realize the first time I did this how dirty fresh sea food can be). I added a few items we all feed our tank like Cyclopes, krill, mysis. I soaked the Nori in Garlic extreme for about an hour or so to make sure it was absorbed well. Last I diced it all together and added some oyster feast and selcon. All and all my fish love it and I'm guessing so does my friends. I pretty much followed a recipe I found online. This is the 3rd time I make the food and I wanted to share some pics along with this thread to my fellow reefers. Enjoy!!!

you don't get freezer burn? How long would the packets we see in that picture last you?

I ask because I've bought like a 5lb mysis block from Jehmco before and after slicing it up get like 6-8 ziplocks with 3 1/2"x7" blocks in each bag.

But usually the last two bags in the freezer look unusable.
It does last many months, so is still a savings, but...it sucks to see it become useless (I'm sure the fish may actually eat it...but I just don't want to give it to them)

I try to do a batch like every 6-10 months but the food dont last me to long as most of my friends use it and like it alot so I sell it to them at $10 a bag. The money helps me cover the supplies I used to make it. If you ever want to try it out let me know.

No sorry I dont I kinda alrdy know what Im adding and just go with it and add my own little something that I feel reefs need that we all add after or during a feeding
