Hood Support Structure

I have just ordered a TEK T5 light hood but neglected to think about how I will hang it. I live in a loft apartment with 20' ceilings. Above the fish tank I have 2 4'' PVC pipes and 1 3'' metal pipe. I was initially thinking about hanging some cable from those and then attaching the hood.

I have also thought about constructing a support out of wood and wondered if anyone had experience with this.

I have vaulted ceilings in my room that the tank is located and didn't hang it at all. I just purchase a $15 glass top for the tank and sat my TEK fixture right on that. No problems at all.

thats a pretty good approach. I have an aquarium business (which i dare not mention the name of) and I sell tek products. You can get legs for the t-5 fixtures so you can sit them right on the tank. unfortionately they are a little pricey.
