Hooded Fairy Wrasse (Cirrhilabrus bathyphilus)

So LiveAquaria has what I consider to be a really good deal on these. Females on sale for $55.99 which is way cheaper than what I've seen anywhere else male or female. I decided to pick one up in my order.

Anyone who has kept a lot of fairy wrasses have any experience with these? I tried to do some reading on this particular species but information seems a little sparse. I've kept a Lubbock's Fairy Wrasse for 6ish years before it jumped one night :( as well as an Exquisite Wrasse for 3 years that disapeared one night. Any tips of or advice? He's going in a 75 gal mixed reef with an Ocellaris Clown, a Klein's Butterfly, a Barbershop Goby and a new Maldives Exquisite Wrasse I bought as part of the same order. Rock is very cavernous with tons of hiding spots and there is also plenty of open swimming space and sand.

Nothing special as far as coral, a decent sized Acan Lord colony, Frogspawn, Orange Monti Cap and a Favia frag.

really good price for a great fish. easy to keep. not much different than most fairies. I had a trio for several years and didn't notice anything particularly unique about the species.

Yeah, pretty much all Cirrhilabrus have the same care needs.

If the tank is uncovered (sounds like it might be?), I would cover it with 1/4" clear mesh ASAP.

Nah I got that covered. Has a canopy with mesh covering the hole in the back. This is a livestock restocking of a tank I've neglected for the past year after most of its original inhabitants died off from old age or jumping etc...

Bump - Will a lone female turn into a male even if there is a male McCosker in the tank? Females are just so much cheaper. Thanks!!!
