Hoping

congrats, it's quite the jump from your 12g. :D We just moved a 120 into the house, and it's got 3/4" Low iron glass on 3 sides. The thing weighed a ton... I was luck enough to be able to back right up to the house door in the garage, and slide the tank off the truck bed, and straight into the house...

Congrats Keri on your upgrade. Hope that there are no major problems you run into with the tank. Good luck with the adventure.

WYG Kerri.
Good Luck
I had a good feeling about this tank being OK. Sometimes FREE works out great. I always say FREE IS FOR ME. LOL
Can't wait to see it set up and fish in there. Dang you have me beat- 12 to a 36-----12 to a 150--LOL

Nice to know you were able to get the tank and its in good shape. Sorry I missed the tank move party, I went night night before you posted contact info or I would have gone.

Would have saved me money from making the LFS rounds. lol

Yeah I am very happy we got the tank. It is about 9 years old and was resealed when the kids got it for the school. Very few if any scratches. The tank has one hole drilled in the top left side. There are 4 holes in the bottom of the tank that are sealed and covered. I am thinking that we may drill the other side at some point. Anyone here drill glass? The return must have been pumped back in over the top.

Oh, Jeremy spent the night in the ER with "food poisoning" which we think may have been brought on by the bad/dead fish crap from the tank. We sprayed it at the car wash and the scum got on him. Any chance of this? It was just way too coincidental.

Congrats on getting your new tank Keri! Glad to hear that it was worth all the effort. There are a few people in the club that are able to drill when you are ready. Should be killer tank!

I'm sure its very possible for Jeremy to have gotten poisoning from the gunk in the tank. Fish are big culprits of food poisoning so I would imagine that stagnant fish poo water would do it too. Hope he's feeling better soon! Don't want him to have a "bad taste" for the tank before it even gets set up LOL

Oh man that sucks to spend the night in the ER.

You may not have to drill the tank. You say that there are 4 holes in the bottom? Are they located in the back corners? Without seeing them it sounds like there were internal overflows and returns at one time. You may just have to reopen them and install new overflows.

Yeah Jeremy is still sleeping and feeling nauseous. I feel really bad.

The holes in the bottom were 2 near the back and 2 not really near the back, or for that matter near anything so I am really not sure how that would have worked. It's in our storage unit so I can't get any pics for you. When we get closer to setting it up, I'll be sure to let you all know. I can't wait.

sounds like they had bulkheads installed for drains. If you go that route, I would recommend that you put the bulkheads in and then screw stand pipes on so that the water drains from the top, not the bottom, kinda like a big upside down J. Its called a Durso pipe. This keeps the water from draining too far down, should you experience a power outage and flood things.

I was wondering the same thing? I know she said it was going in storage, I meant to ask hre at the meeting when it was going to be setup

At the meeting, she seemed to be having a hard time selling her condo. I think she is waiting to set things up until she moves.

She's got more patience than i do (as we all know) shut up Todd....I just could not buy a tank and then not at least have it setting up. Like our 125 it's setting in frontroom with about 35-40 gal of water- 5 rocks a little sand and Todds sidewalk sarfish in there. Oops thats a choc chip star-LOL-thats was on his way to the sidewalk.

Hi Guys:

Yeah I can't imagine setting up the tank and then breaking it down in the matter of months. We are going to wait until our condo sells. We live in the worst neighborhood and cop calling is a norm for us. As soon (trust me) as we get into another place the tank is going up. Even if it just runs with water for a bit I want it up ASAP. I am still having a great time with the nano though. I swear my freshwater never even went this well. My little clown is such a crap head. I have to wear gloves now because he bites the crap out of me, but he is very cute when my hands aren't in the tank.... :-)

I can't begin to tell you how antsy I am about the 150 though. It's driving me nuts that it is just sitting in a storage unit..... Probably stinking it up!!

I have heard that it usually takes 3 months for a house and 6 for a townhouse/condo. I am still trying to sell my house. I am surprised it has not sold yet. I feel your pain. lol

Uuugh seriously, it is not a seller's market, that's for sure.

Thanks Eric, we hope to buy something closer to where you are or over on the west side. Anything north of south carefree and nothing in the middle or south.

It is peaceful where I live. Lower tax rate. No water restrictions. :) Good old widefield security. They have newer houses then where I live too down here.
