I was close:D And I'm not posting the name, but here was the quote:D

just letting u know u are going to stress out alot of fish putting it by the door.

P.S.- your doorknob is going to hit your tank!

Well work is interfering with tank stuff:(

The skimmer looks like it's finally settling in. I think all the new parts really messed with it as though it was breaking in again. Otherwise the microbubbles have subsided and everything seems to be going well. My temp issue has also settled out. I needed to ramp up the time that my wetroom is being vented. Since I increase that time quite a bit, the temp is holding between 78.3 and 78.9, no fan over the sump for two days:D

Hopefully I'll be able to at least get the canopy installed and trim out the tank this week, if not it will be three weeks as the work gods have no mercy:D

Chris: Hopefully this week! At least to have things trimmed out. I really need to get the light rack designed. The hardest part of the light rack design is going to be incorporating two different MH hoods that are slightly different widths. It's just a matter of sitting down and building the thing:D Plus I'm trying to debate about using 48" act lighting so that it is doubled up for 2' in the middle or go with 36" bulbs. There is reason to my madness and a valid arguement for both sides. Just need to get it done I think:D

It'll come together Hop. After all you gotta pay the electric bill before you can run those MH lights right?

great job so far...wish you were my neibor...lol

Thanks hugoboss! I'm not sure you want me living near you. My yard has gone downhill this year. I think if I mowed I would find reefing parts hidden in the lawn:lol:

Yeah, I wanted to get a start on them this week, but it's not happening. Two finals to work on before I go away on business. I'm hoping that I can get some trim done and call it a successful week!

I decided to get motivated today and get some woodwork done. It's not finished, but the big pieces are in. I still have to run some decorative trim and cover some things up, support part of the tank trim and then seal the canpy. But I can live with it like this for a while

Pictures are pretty redundant, but of different angles:

And that is the way the tank will have to sit for a few weeks:(

But I am going to button up a few things in the wetroom tonight and tomorrow.

That is looking really good Hop, making me jealous. :)

Good luck with the finals and what not.

Thanks Todd. Actually I have training all next week and then they opened at least one supervisor position at work. The transfer form has essay questions and I was up til 2am last night. I'm over 6000 words and not done yet... And only 1-2 people will read it and determine if I should move onto the oral interview:lol:

WOW!!!!! I am so impressed with the woodwork.
That is BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks phunkie. It's definitely not done yet, but getting there!

I elected to add a little waste collector so that I can go 2-3 days without emptying the skimmer collection cup if I have to. The collection cup holds a little over 1 gallon before it over flows which is just about 2 1/2 days of skimmate. With the cost of waste collectors, I used a Po4 reactor I will likely upgrade to the larger XP and move this one back to a Po4/carbon reactor someday...

This does not shut off the skimmer, I have to mod the skimmer for that, but it will allow a little more waste before letting the skimmate return back to the sump. This was done in case something sends the skimmer into a frenzy.

I'm going to give that woodwork the MSoA: Melev Seal of Approval.

:D

 That's funny. And thank you!

 No kidding...damn it all! :D

Sorry I missed out on so much...you have risen from the ashes so I hope you name the tank Phoenix. :)

Hop, because of you doing your tank, I finally redid mine. It took a total of 29 hours, a pack of smokes, and I couple of dry heaves (( that sand bed was nasty, and the fuge section of the sump )) but it is all done. And didn't lose a thing. :)
