hospital tank

i have a 10 gallon hospital tank up and running for my fox face, do i need a hang on skimmer. if so where would i find one. only senn bigger ones. i have a hang on filter and powerhead in it now.

No need for a skimmer, what you have is good. Keep the filter media in your sump when it's not in use. Keep an eye out for ammonia, and do WC's when necassary, siphoning crap off the bottom. If you already have a skimmer laying around, then you can use it, it won't hurt.
 
... you're definitely going to have to find some dr's and nurse's to put inside your hospital tank ... :lol: sorry I couldn't resist especially because you're a nurse :P

What is it that you are hospitalizing the fox face for?! This is a biggie ... otherwise people's posts are going to be very vague/less helpful.

... Provide very little or no substrate and a large hollow PVC pipe where the fish can hide. Might want to add in stress zyme/coat ... low light cycle/watts ... low flow ... and like Mike said watch the ammonia. Skimmer is definitely optional, sometimes not recommended when medicating with ehhh medicine :P
