greetings

Due to having whitespot i have moved my fish to a quarantine tank clowns firefish flameangel, and treating them with copper based medication.

I also have a mandarine, what i need to know is should i move this fish in to quarantine aswell?,i did hear that they have a mucus and cannot catch w/s.I am worried that there are no pods in the quarantine tank for him to eat.As i intend to leave the display tank empty of fish for 6 weeks.

thanks for any help.

While mandarins have a thicker mucas lining which helps them ward off ich they do get ich and if you want your tank ich free I would urge you to remove and treat the mandarin.

Many individuals have had luck feeding live brine shrimp to Mandarins in QT ... you might consider putting the manadrin in its own small QT since competition for LBS can be high and the mandarin may be last in line.

Hope this helps.
