after at least a month or so my clownfish has decided to start hosting in the anemones I had put in the tank for him. didn't do anything to push the issue just let them be but wasn't sure if he was ever going to host. how long had it taken some of your fish to host.
I had two clownfish and an anemone in my tank together for nearly 2.5 months. With now interest shown. Yesterday the smaller of the two went carpet surfing while I was gone so I went and picked up a juvenile tankbred misbar Occ. It instantly went into the anemone and the large original Occ is starting to finally take some interest in the anemone. So basically 2.5 months barely any interest and 10 minutes for the ther to go right in.
A few minutes after adding the RBTA the male went right in while the female watched him, now the female won't share the RBTA and the male sleeps behind a rock. Sad times.

My female went right to the GBTA after it was added, the male never entered. She must have kept him away because it budded off a small 1" clone and he went right to it. It was rather amusing to see a Perc try to sleep in a BTA the size of a quarter.
