Hosting question

So my local LFS had a beautiful blue long tentacle anemone (Macrodactyla doreensis) they assured me that my yellow stripe maroon (Premnas biaculeatus) would host but after a few days the clownfish hasn't come near the anemone. Has anyone mixed these two together with luck?

Yes, it may take time however for the clownfish to host, or he may not host at all as long tentacles are not a natural host. The natural host for a maroon clownfish is a bubble anemone (E. quadricolor).

My Anemone still hasnt attatch himself so it seems, he seems to be floating on top of the sand, would of thought he would of attach himself to something by now. I wonder if that might be my problem. The Clown has stayed up at the top of the tank for about 24 hours now and swims around all 4 corners but keeps strickly to the top of the water.

I've never kept M. doreensis, but IIRC their columns are actually supposed to be buried in sand. They don't attach to rock.
