Is this a good T5 combo and order to run on a 30g (retrofit with ind. reflectors)? If not what would you do different. The color is a little pink for me though.

Blue +
Aquablue
Aquasun
Blue +

Got any pics?

the great thing about T5's is the variability. Plus I'm guessing yours are only 24 inchers which means a bulb is like $10-15 and will last you 18 months or so.

Play around with the wavelengths till you get something that makes you happy.

Try rearranging the bulbs I found that it makes a big difference on the way the color appears. you could change out the aquasun to a blue plus special which is pretty much white.

I had the same combo and yes the Aquasun is more pink / red then I would have thought. I now run (from back to front)

Aqua Blue S
Blue Plus
10K aqua medic ocean white
Blue Plus

The 10K ocean white is what I thought a 10K bulb should represent. It’s slightly yellow and blends much better with the remaining bulbs then the Aquasun. However the problem I have with really bright white or slightly blue tanks is that I feel like sometimes everything is a little to flat or grey (when it comes to greenish rocks / algae). The ocean white has helped to make my greenish rocks look a tiny bit green again, but I feel I may need to either replace the remaining Aquablue S with another ocean white or if I could find an even more yellow bulb, then I would just switch out the ocean white, while still keeping the spectrum of the other bulbs. However I don’t know where to start and I’m a little hesitant on just purchasing bulbs after the Aquasun purchase. I mean the spectrum just didn’t seem right at all.
