If you have had any success with these red carpet anemones, please give me advice. Mine has been in the tank for about a week, and looks great. I want to keep it looking good. What have you fed it, and how often. I have three 400 w mh, and three actinic VHO tubes. My water parameters (3/25/06) are as follows.

phos. .03 mg/l
Nitrite .05 mg/l
nitrate less than .1 mg/l
PH 8.3
specific gravity 1.022
DKH 10.2
Calcium 340 ppm
temp. 78 degrees

Any advise would be greatly appricieated

I also have a large pink skunk clown that does not seem to be very interested init.

In my experience, the mouth opening as in the picture is not a good sign.

I prefer to feed mine cut lancefish a few times a week.

Has it buried its foot down through the sand?
Is it eating?

basically x2

Also is it sticky?

It's foot is half in the sand and half in a crevace. The first day in the tank, it grabbed on to a green cromise. It killed the fish but did not eat it. It feels sticky , but woulnt take food. Should I place the food directly onto the mouth. I also used a turkey baster to shoot some food down into its general area
