how bad is rust?

how bad is rust in the tank? i just discovered that there is a very very slow leak into my tank and it has corroded a part of my tank stand. the thing is... it drips into my tank...

how bad is it? less than 1 or 2 drops per hour or so

If the rust gets too bad then your tank will drop and burst to the ground.

Weak metal is not good at any lvl.

Fix it while it is still cheap to fix.

The rust itself may not be a big deal although the extra iron may cause some algae issues. But you need to fix your tank stand right away before it causes a REALLY BIG problem.

bad enough that it should be fixed. if you're confident that this has not compromised the structural integrity of your stand, sand the rusted spot, and give 'er a shot of Rustoleum to seal it up.
