How best to configure mp40 and gyre 150?

All,

I have run a MP40 rather high for the past year in my 90 gallon (4 ft) tank. I recently picked up a Gyre 150 for cheap.

My question is how best to configure the two pumps for my SPS dominate tank? Should I put the MP40 on one side at 50% (with reefcrest, etc. mode) and then the Gyre on the opposite side running constant at X%? Or should I put them both on the same side? On one hand I don't want to constantly stop the Gyre effect but I am also after turbulent flow.

Any thoughts or insights are welcome.

In my case I had the MP40 and I didn't feel that was enough turbulent flow. I could get areas that were blasted and others that were dead. Since I came across this good deal on the Gyre I decided to try it. My only concern with just the Gyre would be turbulent flow vs. laminar, unidirectional flow. Do you use constant mode or do you use one of the other modes available on the gyre?

No I user the intermittent on 100% power and fastest intermittent mode. I also move it down to the half point of my tank. Better water movement i think.

I have 2 gyre and 2 mp40 QD. 1 of each on each end. I have the grye on a wave maker. To be honest, I think I'm going to get another mp40 and move one gyre to my frag tank (36x60"x12")

Ones enough with an mp40 for you
