Are I was wondering because my female Ocellaris is 4.1" and the male an even three..seems larger than they would get in wild according to things I have read...so I just wanted to know how big y'alls are and what size you have had them start breeding...thanx..look forward to pics too...

How are you measuring them? The books will give the length as the standard length, which is measured to the base of the tail, not to the end of the tail. That's where most people make a mistake in measuring how big their fish are.

The other thing to keep in mind is that if you have a bowfront tank, you get some magnification, so unless your ruler is in the water also, you will overestimate the size of the fish. Also this magnification will vary by how close to the front of the tank the fish is.

Wolverine,
No I do not have a bowfront tanl and I measured from the nose to base of tail...so standard length they are 4.1" and 3.0"...total length around 4.6" and 3.5"...I have seen some really large clowns before and heard of 9" plus specimens so I was hoping anyone who had some pictures would share...thanx

Most men on the forum will quote the sizes being at least 2 inches larger than they actually are/were!
