How big are Zoanthids?

Well i was looking at lot of ppl's tanks and i see zoa that look like they are the size of pennies and stuff. And i have never seen a Zoa in person but are they really that big? or the ppl just zooming in alot when they take the pic? Well thanks

most are about the size of the end of a thumbtack

oh ok because in pics they look like they are like sizes of coins. lol

Yeah, my polyps are about 1/4 inch in diameter. Crazy what the camera does.

They seem to range anywhere from a tiny thing, all the way up to about 1/4" or so. Either way they Rock!!!! Get a ton of them

Also depends on the lighting and waterflow. They react differantly in each enviroment. I have 3 tanks and I have cut colonies and put chunks in each tank. The zoas are a slightly differant size each tank LOL. Seems like they are larger under MH than they are on my tank with PC. My MH tank has more flow and higher intensity lighting than my tank with PC. Some are twice the size in the MH tank.
