how big do annularis angels, french angels, and emperor angels get in captivity?

I'm just guessing at what you're getting at , but I looked at your profile and all of these are way too big for a 135, IMO.
Realy? I heard annularis only needed a 90 and emperors need a 135 but if they do get to big I wont get them. What size tank do you suggest for them then.
Check what LA suggests, and they are dealers who can lose sales if their customers tank isn't big enough. http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/aquarium-fish-supplies.cfm?c=15+18
I go with an 80% rule. If LA gives a max size, take 80% of that as being how big you can expect it to grow in captivity.
One thing worth noting, is that there is a lot of misguided info out there. For example, the Maculosous Angel can be listed as 16 inch max all the way up to 24 inch max. I have seen a Mac Angel at 2 feet 4 inches in a private aquarium
thanks they sugest lot bigger tanks then I had seen for those angels.would a bluespotted angel or other 8 in angel get to big?amd how big would it get? LA sugests a 125
amd acording to the 80% of LA max size it would get 6.5 in but that seems small.
You know what is a great fish that has that BIG angel look to it, in a compact size? The Asfur Angel. And it would be perfect for your 135. I had one for 7 years and loved it. It was about 6-7 inches with a deep body and streamers. Awesome fish!
I just looked the Asfur up on LA and it says 1 feet 4 inches. I'm shocked. I apologize for leading a bad recommendation. Mine passed during a power outage after 7 years. I figured he was done growing, but apparently far from it. Dumb me.
