I have had a Green BTA for about a week and today got a mating pair of GS Maroon Clownfish. The female has decided to move the BTA from the spot it selected and is now in the process of aquainting herself with the anemone. The BTA seems to like the 2 of them.
She is about 3.5" and the Male is about 1.5". I feel sorry for her because the BTA doesn't seem to be big enough for her to sit in. She is constantly moving in it along with the male. Is that normal??? Thanks.

I'm not sure, but when I got my bta it was only 2-3 inches dia. Now it's just been 2 month and it about 8-10 inches dia. It was originally a little bleached and looked a little unhappy at the store. Good food, light and water and it's getting big fast.

Generally, the rule of thumb is to buy an anemone that is at least 3x the size of your clowns. The clowns are too big for your anemone and will probably "love it" until it is injured. I would try separating the BTA until it gets a little bigger.

Mine was easily the size of a 12" dinner pate before it split.

I have a Maroon Clown that hosts in the BTA, and I have a H. aurora and the clown wont go near it.

my maroon was two big for my nem at first. it got a lil hairy, but after the first week or 2 the maroon will stop rubbing so hard and will start to relax.

my nem was about 3 inches when i got it, it grew to about 16 inches before it split 3 ways..
