how big will my sponges get?

I just discovered about 5 tiny neon yellow sponges in my tank that are about the size of a pea. Will they get much bigger than this? Are there different types of sponges that grow different sizes or are they all pretty similar?

there are many different types of sponges.
They grow to huge size differences- from miniscule to larger than a human being. Certain types are photosynthetic. Most are (to some extent or another) toxic. Sponge ID is challenging- spicules are often used for positive identification.
Until your pea sized yellow sponges are properly identified I doubt anyone will know if they will grow larger. Your best bet is to provide them with a proper environment for possible growth (I'd suggest trying low light/high particulate matter/massive flow).

I just discovered about half a dozen yellow sponge in my tank,(after plucking out about 4 cups of algae). They are ranging in size from small pea to about the size of a whopper candy (yum). I will try to get pics, but i think they are yellow ball sponge.
