i know people ask a lot about things, but you are really full of yourself. give them a break and stop with the smart comments bro

July865, I will take him out when he's 3+ inches. As for now, he's very happy to be in there. I always have a tang in my nano (I love tang) but I trade them or give them away when they reached 3+ inches. I had a yellow tang before this hippo and when he reached 3+ inches, I just use a net and take him out then take him to my LFS.

PRAISE GORDON 2726! Enough of the Tang police state. Believe it or not there are responsible people who understand what they are doing. I have the same situation, my tang could not be happier and when he reaches 3 inches, he is history and I will get another small one.

Not a member of any police, but it seems like common sense to me. While you can do it, whos to say its a good idea? I can shove my black lab in the kitchen closet, but that doesnt mean its a good idea to let him live in there until he gets "big enough." Big dogs need room to run, and big fish need room to swim. Its not rocket science. Its responsible ownership. The difference between a happy tang and discontent one is obvious to anyone whos viewed them in both a large public aquarium and a tiny cramped one. Their behavior changes. Simple as that.

To the last poster, I find it sad and irresposible that you advocate continually buying and selling fish to cram into your display.

gordan tehy need lots of swimming space at an early age. Would you like to live in a tiny little area whn you need a large one?
