I have Xenia taking over my 90 gallon reef tank. I have cut it, injected with kalwasser and still return and grow in different places. I tough for me to kill any life form, but I am loosing my tank to Xenia.

Please does anybody know what can I do. to completely eliminate it?

Is there any fish that will eat Xenia, but will leave alone SPS LPS Clams and motile invertebrates?

Thanks for your help.

any small dose or even traces of fluke tabs will kill xenia for ever

As well as GSP. Can you take out the rocks afected?

The base of the xenia peel off easy when using tweezers. As long as you peel it off completely it won't come back, just don't leave any of it behind. Just had to trim back a bunch of my xenia and it worked out fine.

once you do it, you cant go back. its not a spot treatment. it affect the whole tank with just trace amounts. worked great with me. dipped 3-4 corals in a fluke tab dip (using about half a tab) and it rubbed off that and there were no signs of Xenia or Green Star Polyps (GSP) within two days

I'm telling you, manual removal with tweezers is your best bet. Just pull the rocks out and do it on a table. 10 seconds per xenia easy.

I cant pull out the rocks, and I tried tweezers but the xenia just breaks and turn into a mess of mucus leaving the rock with enough xenia to regrow

I can't grow xenia to save my life. I've rehomed some rock of a friend that was covered with xenia to kill it off. After it dies off I just give it back. If you have any rock you want to kill off lemme know :)

Fluke tabs kills gsp and xenia for sure. I think that it kills off clove polyps also, but not 100% sure.
Pick out as much xenia as you can before using fluke tabs. Depending on how much die off there is you will probably have to do a decent size water change.
