How can I keep this out of my zoos and what is it?

What is this and how can I keep it out of my zoas?

its a form of hair algae, usually a cheap toothbrush and alot of elbow grease is the best way to remove it, pull as much of it off as you can then get in there and scrub it, you may damage a few zoa heads but they should bounce back

P.S. Might wanna have your phosphates tested
 
I thought it might be hair algae but I figured if it was that my yellow tang would eat it. My phosphates and nitrates are both good right now.
 
I had the same issue and did a peroxide dip. The algae died and my zoa's look better then ever. I did one part peroxide and 3 parts saltwater ( most say use RO ) didn't want to stress them out more then what I had too. I let them sit in the solution for 5 minutes then rinse and put them on the sand for a couple of days.
 
I did the peroxide dip method and so far my zoas look better than they have for a while. They haven't quite all opened up but most are. Thanks for the help. It looks very promising.
