How can i tell the difference between a new 6025 and the older model?

I just purchased a new in the box 6025. It does have a small metal washer that fits over the impeller shaft before you put the impeller on. Does this indicate the newer model? How do i tell? Thanks in advance....

The washer is one way to spot a new one. The new ones generally have round cords also, though a very few were made with the flat cord.
