I have a butterfly, in a 60 g tank who has some sort of disease which is creating brownish discolorations on its body, and white bumps (not like ich, no visible ich present on fins or body) on its face. Today, i noticed that its lips are no longer visibly separate parts, its like they have fused together as if he has smashed his snout on something. I know the brown spots are probably some kind of worm or something. My question is: do i have to remove him to treat him? Are there any meds i can add to a tank that has: live rock, 1 coral banded shrimp, 1 BTA, 1 urchin, and 1 starfish? ( I know most meds are not invert safe)

please advise! the more specific the better... i'm new, and i dont wanna lose this guy.

he looks very similar to this guy (but has orange instead of red)

ive had the fish for about three weeks, from what i have seen... he did passively eat. Unfortunately, he died last night after all my efforts to catch him and treat him in a separate tank. :( For future referemce arizona tech, what are the proper QT procedures for a new fish???
