How can i use this skimmer ??

I bought this skimmer and its too tall to fit in my stand to have the water outlet drip back into sump.
What can i do to modify it so i can sit into the sump.

1) Use it externally.

2) Modify the stand.

3) Sell it and buy one you can use (measure first this time).

i think i can put an elbow with pipe going up an then down into sump. just wanna make sure if i can ..

Ok, Found 1 almost like mines .. YES
this one is 4ft mines is 2ft i think ??/

So can i place into sump rise the water outlet to go up and then down to water level.

The height of these skimmers is what determines the efficiency. It increases the dwell time of the bubbles. They're old-fashioned and rather a pain to keep up, the diffuser blocks need to be replaced monthly to keep them working. But they work fine.

You can modify the height as you wish, just that you'll decrease the efficiency. You should be able to modify the plumbing with no issues. Though you'll never get better performance, you shouldn't do much worse.

OK here's a pic of the skimmer its 21" 1/2 tall.
If i put it on the side. like in pic. can i put a pvc to go up and over into the sump....

The height of the skimmer will dictate if you can run it under cabinet. I have the same skimmer in my closet not being used anymore. It is designed to be out of the sump. Just use a feed pump to take water from the sump to the skimmer. The water can travel up over the sump depending on what feed pump you are using. The air stones will have to be changed every three weeks for the best sized bubbles. The lime wood air stones tend to increase their size as they age which decreases efficiency.

The best way to return the water is to drill a bulkhead inline with the gate valve in your pic. It should be a 1 1/2" bulk head.
