you can get a little probe thing that will tell you if there's stray voltage. Or if you see a fish freaking out and twitching every 2 seconds like its getting shocked...that might be one way to tell :lol:
well thats the thing i buy a fish it dies like 2 to 4 days later for no reason water is fine cant figure anything else out i dont know if im on something but i think when i put my hand in the tank it feels like it tingles but i cant tell if its just me making myself think that for a reason or not

well if you tingle then there might be some tray voltage start unpluging pumps until there is no more tingle. Do you have your equipment on a GFCI(ground fault circuit interupter) if not I would highly recommend puting one in. The other option is to put a ground probe in the tank and sump. hth

A few things first . . . you should get all of your equipment on a GFCI outlet as a safety precaution in case of problems with the water and electricity. You can also get a stray voltage probe to use with the GFCI.
If you do have an electric leak, to find out which peice of equipment is leaking electricity into your tank, unplug all of them, and then plug each piece of equipment back in individually to find the culprit. Then replace it.
