how clam reposition himself?

my clam reposition couple times..and yesterday i saw that i laid down ..is it going to reposition himself? or should i reposition him?

clams use their FOOT to move around, an easy way to keep them from moving is get a clam shell and put them on top that way he has something to hold on to and you can move him around or if you dont like the look just put him in the sand and repostion him when he moves.
