How close are my Percs to spawning?

I bought a pair of A percula from the LFS last week. They were not sold as a mated pair, but were paired up in the stock tank. They are the only fish in my 20L, they don't fight (I could already tell the dominant one in the store), they sleep on top of each other in the same spot (on the ledge formed by my cleaning magnet), and today I just now saw the submissive roll to his side and shake like he had been electrocuted twice in front of the dominant one. They are both about 2-2.5" from tip to tip. I've read and am re-reading Joyce Wilkerson's book, but can't find anything about the size they start spawning. Is it time to go find a ceramic tile?

A very long while, Besides the fact that they may not be fully matured yet, for a pair of clownfish to spawn in a tank they have to feel secure in it and have been in it for a while to adept to it for the most part. Be patient it will happen^^.

2 - 2 1/2" is more than big enough to be sexually mature but I wouldn't count on eggs any time soon either. I wouldn't bother with a tile until they have already laid eggs. That is if they ever do.

If they are still doing the "dominance dance".... or shaking....you have AWHILE...sit back, relax and enjoy your fish :D
