How close is to close?

When I first got my Hammer and Duncan they were much smaller. As time went by they well they grew. Now when extended they can touch. I'm still learning what can be close and what can't. Will they hurt each other?

Yes a hammer coral can and most likely will put out sweeper tentacles which will kill the Duncan. I would give yourself at least 3 4 inches between the hammer and other corals

It's definitely time to move the Duncan. Frogspawn would be a good choice for that spot, the rule of thumb is euphyllia won't bother each other, but everyone seems to be wary of torches.

Frogspawn can have tentcales swipe up to six inches, my never did that, but I would move ur Duncan for sure

frogspawn and hammer can touch each other without killing each other since they're from the same family.

The hammer is already stinging your duncan, lightly for now but it can just decide to nuke it one day. If you have a frogspawn then it and the hammer can touch though.
