how deep is deep enough?

I have a small tank (see tank info in sig)

my lighting is 6x24 T5HOs

my acros are about 4" under the lights and my monti digis are about 7-8" under the lights

all of them are sort of bleaching, especially the monti digis (the monti cap is at the same level as the acros and it is doing great, growing huge and bright red...not bleached at all)

is this due to the lights or could it be something else?

alk = 9.8
calc = 500
pH = 8.0 < x <8.1
temp = 82
sg = 1.025

lights on 10hrs daily

Its hard to say really. Are the lights a new addition?
I have read several posts about t5 bleaching out corals, it is a possibility.

Different species/colorations/morphs/etc/etc/etc all need different lighting configurations and intensities. It's really specific to the individual unfortunately. We just try to get it as close as possible to what they want...

if you can, try moving them down to the sand bed, maybe even under something else to shade them a bit, see if they get better.

thanks for the info guys

will do

the lights are not new, they are the only lights I have been using the entire time (almost 10 months now)

most of my frags came from MH tanks (but no saying how near or far from lights they were)

appreciate the advice guys

so a good step would be to try to identify them and then look up info on them as far as placement?

Are these the corals you recently treated for nudis. Wonder if this could be a possibility. Maybe stress to meds along with the lighting?
