How do I attach a light rack to my canopy using drawer glides, and other related q's?

I want to have my 3x MH's and 2x VHO lights on a light rack that pulls out the front of my canopy for full access to replace bulbs and to wipe down the glass shields on the MH reflectors.

For whatever reason, I'm having a mental block on how to attach a light rack to a canopy using drawer glides. I can screw the ones onto the canopy sides, but how do you connect the half that resides on the light rack? Pics would be appreciated.

Also, with a eurobraced tank (i.e. no direct splash), can I do anything to delay rust? Do they sell aluminum drawer glides?

Any preferences on having the drawer rails on the sides vs. the underside of the top of the canopy?

Stainless Drawer Slides

No pics but see if this makes sense. Stainless drawer slides that make a moving shelf in your canopy. Lights mounted to moving shelf. I made a stainless angle iron shelf that my light fit in for my 29 and mounted it to powder coated drawer slides 2 years ago, no rust, but I would use stainless if I were doing it again.
