How do I attach an Eco(xotic) Pico LED arm to my tank?

I have a 7g bowfront. It is NOT rimless. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions on how to attach the Ecoxotic Eco Pico Arm LED light to the tank? I need answers, OK? Ready... GO!

Cut away a small section of the plastic lip or bend the arm holder out wider.I have done both to many tanks. Very easy.

Problem number two: I have a big dopey Filter on the back. I am considdering ditching it. With the filter on there as it is, I couldn't even put the light on there. I have been doing weekly 3g WC's on it and will go down to two then one eventually. Is a mechanical filter really necessary?

No..weekly water changes should do it! Increase to twice/week if needed.
