How do I beat vermetid snails??

Over the last month I've had an explosion of vermetid snails. I've started feeding more broadcast feedings for extra nutrition for the corals but the vermetids have grown more than the corals.

Other than limiting the broadcast feedings, how do I limit the populations of vermetids? I have about 40,000 so crushing them in their shell or glueing over the opening isn't really an option.

Are there any natural predators of vermetids??

They really arent harmful imop. I leave them alone as long as thier nets arent bothering corals. As for the ones that are I just crush thier shell with needlenose pliers. My wrasse usually follows me around the tank eating them when I do this.

I agree, I break the ones that are closest to corals with my scraper and leave the rest alone. They are filter feeders and I am thinking that they must be helpful to some degree in removing excess nutrients.

They bother some of my encrusting sps like monticaps. As they try to encrust over the rocks the vermetids don't give way.
