How do I catch a damsel?

I have a blue damsel that is being very territorial and trying to beat up everything in my tank. Any Ideas on how to catch him without destoying everything in there? I have a reef aquarium and I really don't want to tear it apart to catch him.

Just kidding. Try using a jar with food in it and a string tied around one end. When he swims inside to get the food pull him out.

I had the sam problem and used a small fish hook and sanded the barb off of it. Put it into the tank during feeding time and within 5 minutes of him checking it out, he bit it and out he came.

that is cool fishing in your living room.

You really will have to trap it or fish for it as Blown 346 did. There really is no feasible way to get it out unless you trap or take everything out of the tank. It's a pain in the neck.

I to have had the little blue damsel that wanted to rule the tank.


I removed every peice of rock till I cought it ... it is not fun
