how do I clean the bottom of a rotifer tank??

haha i just got home and read that and thought those are copepods haha. Your culture is going to crash if it hasnt already. unfortunatly you cannot buy copepod eggs but you can culture them. I have a rather healthy culture of those as well. They dont reproduce at the same rate as rots though.

I have had that happen with pods contaminating cultures. The copepods are natural predators of rotifers. Its a rule of nature, where there are copepods, there are no rotifers; and where there are rotifers, there are no copepods. do you actually see rots in there? They should be really small dots suspended in the water. a good way to look at anything in cultures without a microscope is to put some in a drink glass and go in a dark room, then light a lighter on the opposite side and look through. you will see them much easier that way.

yes actually there is a ton left....done 50% wc on all 3 cultures today and syphones the rots out and added to the larvae tank....they are not copepods I have they are brine shrimp...will the brine eat the rotis
