How do i clean this LR?

I got some LR yesterday and it has a lot of bubble algae and hair algae among other unknown alga's, I'm not putting it in the tank because i just completely eradicated my tank of all green algae's. i realize this stuff is now pretty much dead rock, but how do i clean all this bubble algae and stuff off? just scrub it off? how can i make sure i got it all? its not that much rock so i really don't want to "cook" the rock (maybe 10 - 15lbs?). Any ideas or suggestions?

I would personally bleach it, I do not think I would want to mess with Bubble Algae, since I am under the impression that there is no good way to remove it even once your nutrients are low, except for a crab. I forget the type of crab though.

emrald crabs are supposed to eat it, but i saw a study that they usually only eat smaller bubbles or bubbles that are already popped :/ how do i blech the rock?

When I do it, I take it out of the tank, let it sit in bleach water overnight, then let it dry in the sun for a couple days. After this I usually put in an RODI with some amqual overnight. Nothing on the rock will be alive, but that is usually what I try to accomplish.

Muaratic Acid is the way to go. Put the rock in a tub of water and add Muratic Acid (I think it is on gallon of muratic acid for every ten of water.) This process is based on the same principle as calcium reactors. The Muratic Acid lowers the PH which causes the rock to dissolve. The outer layer of the rock will essentially be eaten away. I did this and it worked great!
